Anti-Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery Prohibition Policy

Paramount Employment Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. (PEC) maintains a steadfast commitment to eradicating human trafficking and modern-day slavery, both within the organization and throughout its supply chain. As an ethical and equitable recruitment entity, PEC will institute stringent controls to prevent any instances of human trafficking or slavery within its operations or supply network. Prior to approval, all suppliers must undergo meticulous due diligence processes.

PEC unequivocally prohibits employees, overseas clients, and other stakeholders from participating in activities associated with human trafficking and slavery. This prohibition extends to actions such as transporting, recruiting, harboring, transferring, or receiving individuals for labor, criminal endeavors, organ removal, and sexual exploitation—accomplished through threats, force, coercion, abduction, or fraud.

In alignment with Nepal Government foreign employment policy and standards, PEC is dedicated to ensuring that the workers supplied to international companies are not subjected to modern slavery or human trafficking. By adhering to these principles, PEC aims to foster a fair and ethical recruitment environment, contributing to the global effort to combat human exploitation.
The policy and procedures designed to prevent human trafficking and slavery will be effectively communicated to all employees and suppliers. This communication aims to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the risks associated with modern slavery and will be integrated into the company’s training programs and supporting materials.

In cases of violations of these rules, Paramount Employment Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. (PEC) is committed to taking appropriate disciplinary action, which may include terminating the contract. This ensures a clear stance against any infractions and emphasizes the importance of upholding the established policies to maintain a work environment free from the risks of human trafficking and slavery.
PEC strictly prohibits employees, overseas clients, and other stakeholders from participating in practices related to trafficking in persons. These prohibitions include:
  • Destroying or withholding access to an employee’s identity or immigration documents.
  • Employing misleading or fraudulent practices in the recruitment process, such as concealing essential terms and conditions of employment.
  • Involvement in commercial sex acts directly associated with PEC, whether during work hours, off-site functions, or official travels.
  • Utilizing forced labor of any nature or for any purpose.
  • Charging recruitment fees to employee candidates for employment.
  • Engaging with recruiters who do not comply with local labor laws.
  • Neglecting to provide return transportation for recruited employees brought to a country for work purposes.
  • Offering housing that does not meet the standards of the host country.
  • Failing to furnish written proof of employment or a similar work document before the employee departs from their country of origin.
These explicit prohibitions reinforce PEC’s commitment to ethical and fair employment practices, ensuring the protection and well-being of all individuals involved in its operations. Violations of these standards may result in appropriate disciplinary actions.
